We arrived in San Diego after a 3 day road trip in "Pearl" our adventure mobile. Special thanks to Barb and Garry Kehr, our fine friends for escorting and taking the rig home. It made it so much more fun and convenient.
We unloaded all our bike gear and rode our bikes to the beach to dip our back wheels in the Pacific Ocean - woo hoo!
September 12,2017 (35 miles to Alpine)
We had a wonderful first day with flawless navigating by Jamie and Paul. The heat is making motels look very attractive with thoughts of camping ⛺️ more when we hit a little cooler weather.
And now for the moment you've all been waiting for - a limerick by Paulio🤣
Day one is finished and it was hot,
It proves that quitters we are not!
A big climb tomorrow
that we do without sorrow
We'll give it all that we've got . . .
